Man taken to hospital after assault as police and ambulance race to Rutherglen incident

Rutherglen Police the Scottish Ambulance Service SAS Police Scotland

A man has been rushed to hospital following an assault in Rutherglen on Tuesday afternoon.

Officers from Police Scotland and paramedics from the Scottish Ambulance Service (SAS) raced to the scene on Hill Road at around 3.30pm and they remain there while a probe is launched.

As a result of the incident a man has been taken by road ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. It is not known the extent of his injuries at this moment.
