A man has been taken to hospital following a two-vehicle smash outside a petrol station during rush-hour.
Part of Dundee's Kingsway was closed following the crash at around 5pm on Monday November 14, beside a BP service station in the city's north-west, near Camperdown Park. Police attended shortly after and shut the road to traffic for approximately an hour.
One lane is still closed in both directions as emergency services attend at the scene but traffic is reported to be coping with the obstruction. Images shared on social media shortly after the crash showed police vehicles obscuring the road with their lights illuminated.
A local said on Facebook: "Just now – crash on Kingsway next to the Camperdown Park. Please avoid if you are travelling from the Perth direction to Dundee."
It is understood that a male casualty has been taken to Ninewells Hospital for treatment. No updates on his condition were available.
In an update shared shortly after 7pm, road network monitors Traffic Scotland said: "A90 Kingsway West: Lane 2 blocked in both directions near Camperdown Park at the BP garage due to a collision. Traffic coping but do take care."
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 5pm on Monday, 14 November, police were called to a report of a road crash involving two vehicles on Kingsway, Dundee. Officers attended."
