Man 'swindled £120k from Glasgow cancer nurse with brain injury then wed other woman'

A man embezzled over £120,000 from his Beatson nurse girlfriend while she battled a brain injury, then married another woman without her knowing, a court heard.

William Dunn from Elderslie, Renfrewshire allegedly swiped cash from Lynda Grant's bank accounts while she battled life-threatening health conditions. It's claimed that Dunn, 69, then married Karen Dolan behind Lynda's back, the Daily Record reports.

A jury heard that Lynda, 63, suffered a brain injury alongside a number of other health complications over a period of two years in hospital, then a care home. It's claimed Dunn took the money after being granted Power of Attorney over Lynda, who worked at the Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre in Glasgow.
