Football fans climbed onto the roof of Anfield Stadium to watch Liverpool's Champions League clash with Real Madrid.
Kain Hogg, 23, and his friends scaled the stadium after they became frustrated that they were unable to buy tickets for the game. The Anfield Road End is currently undergoing redevelopment, so they sneaked in through the connecting construction site, using high-vis jackets.
The friends waited inside a stairwell for two hours before making a run to the roof. They reached the top and watched two thirds of the match on top of the Kenny Dalglish Stand before they were caught by stewards and arrested by Merseyside Police.

Speaking to the ECHO Kain said: "We've watched the first half without any issue, maybe due to the green and orange high-vis jackets me and Stuart are wearing. So we're blending in well.
"At half-time a security guard comes to us on the roof and asks us why we were here. We're honest and friendly and admitted to not being there for a legitimate reason. We waited on the roof watching the game with him talking about football."
Kain, who is originally from Cumbria, said that climbing on the roof was his "only option" as the match had sold out weeks ago and when he was taken off the roof he was surrounded by 30 police officers and spent 20 hours in custody.
Kain a Youtuber said: "The view was immense, simply breathtaking, the atmosphere was surreal and it was extra special as no other people were around. It was like having our own personal VIP area.
"Being high up on the roof access during a game is certainly an experience. However, we're very sorry to Liverpool FC and to the police that had to deal with the situation."
A spokesperson for Merseyside Police said: "We have charged two men following an incident at Liverpool v Real Madrid Champions League game last week. At around 10.45pm on Tuesday 21 February, officers detained two men found on the Kenny Dalglish Stand at Anfield.
"Stuart Parr, 21, and Kain Hogg, 23, both of Viola Street, Bootle, were charged with Obtaining services dishonestly; Intentionally/recklessly causing a public nuisance; and Being found in or upon enclosed premises. They were bailed to appear at Liverpool Magistrates Court on Monday, March 27."
Liverpool FC said they were unable to provide a comment due to the ongoing investigation.
