Detective Sergeant Graeme Carvell, of Ellesmere Port local policing unit, said: “We are continuing to piece together the timeline of the assault and are urging members of the public to contact us with information. I would also ask residents and nearby businesses to check CCTV footage and for motorists to check their dash cam.

“Any information you can provide – no matter how small – could be really useful to our investigation.”

Anyone with information about the incident is urged to contact Cheshire Constabulary online quoting IML 1342703 or call 101. Information can also be provided anonymously by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
