A man who was 'stabbed' in Dundee has been released from hospital.
Police are still searching for the attacker after the incident happened on New Inn Entry in the city at around 6.15am on Saturday.
Ambulance crews attended and the 44-year-old man was taken to hospital.
It's understood the man suffered stab wounds and he has now been released following treatment.
Officers cordoned off the scene while they carried out enquiries following the attack. Police are now appealing for information.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 6.15am on Saturday, March 25, police received a report a man had been assaulted in New Inn Entry, Dundee.
"The 44-year-old man was taken to hospital and released following treatment.
"Enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances. Anyone with information is urged to contact 101 quoting reference 0811 of March 25, 2023."
