Man shares 'genius' water bottle trick he claims can expose cheating partners

There are few more devastating moments in a relationship than when you strongly suspect your partner has been cheating, leaving you in limbo as to what to do next. At this point, you may well end up turning detective, looking out for tell-tale signs of deception before you decide to confront them once and for all.

One man has now been hailed a "genius" after sharing a water bottle trick he vows is the key to exposing cheating partners, and you don't need to be Hercule Poirot to pull it off.

Taking to TikTok, LA-based Daniel Hentschel, who regularly shares helpful tips and hacks, advised any suspicious partners to pick up a 'used water bottle from Goodwill', or another similar charity shop if you're based in the UK.

According to Daniel, who goes by the username @danhentschel, the bottle should look like one "that could theoretically belong to anyone" emphasising that the trick will only work if "they think you think it's theirs".

Daniel explained: "Pretend to discover it in their car. Use this exact phrasing: 'Here's your water bottle'. "If they have nothing to hide, they'll say, 'That's not mine, I don't know whose that is'. They admit they don't know whose it is because you've made them feel like you trust them."

He added: "But if they are cheating, they'll go along with you and pretend it's theirs."

A number of followers were impressed by the crafty hack, with one person applauding: "He's not even joking no more, this is genius."

Another approved: "You're actually on to something with this one."

Others however reasoned that you would have to take into account how good your partner's memory actually is when trying it out for yourself.

As remarked by a third person: "I would try this on my man but he forgets the things he owns and would think it is his, or that I bought it for him."
