Kieran Maguire, 60, has been using the money saving trick for three years to save hundreds on his commute, reports Manchester Evening News.
The lecturer was stunned to learn that his work commute from Haywards Heath to Liverpool Lime Street would cost him a whopping £441.20. However, the 60-year-old quickly devised a smart plan to save him serious money by splitting his journey into multiple tickets.
