Man's 'heart of gold' response after students knock on his door

A man has been praised after offering a group of Liverpool students a bed for the night after they were stranded in Snowdonia.

The four girls from France had been climbing Snowdon but had not realised the time on their return and were unable to book a place to stay. Soaking wet because of the rain, in desperate attempts for help they began to knock on doors for a room for the night.

But with suggested links to a TikTok trend in which people knock on doors asking for a sleepover, many people were quick to close their doors. Warnings were even posted on social media after older residents had been "startled by foreigners" knocking on doors after 9pm, North Wales Live reports, with one reporting concerns to police.
