Man rushed to Tallaght University Hospital following 'serious assault' in Kildare

Tallaght University Hospital Kildare Gardai

A man has been left in hospital after he was "seriously assaulted" in Kildare overnight.

The assault happened at a house in Father Murphy Park in Robertstown at around 2:30am. The injured man, aged in his 30's, was taken to Tallaght University Hospital where he is currently in a stable condition.

A garda spokesman said that the scene is currently preserved for technical examination and no arrests have yet been made. He appealed to anyone with information on the assault to come forward.
