A man was rushed to hospital after a smash on one of Scotland's busiest motorways.
Emergency services were scrambled to the M8 westbound at Bathgate around 3.55pm on Monday March 14.
Cops were alerted to a two-car smash on the busy stretch of road.
Motorists were warned of rush-hour delays as the collision shut down one lane.
One man had to be rushed Wishaw General Hospital following the incident. The extent of his injuries are not yet known.
Police are investigating the crash and say enquiries are currently ongoing.
A spokesperson said: “Around 3.55 pm on Monday, 14 March 2022 police attended a report of a two-vehicle crash on the M8 westbound at junction 3, Bathgate.
“One man has been taken by ambulance to Wishaw General Hospital.
“Enquiries are ongoing.”
