A man has been rushed to hospital after a huge fight broke out in Glasgow this afternoon.
Police raced to Closeburn Street in Possilpark after the alarm was raised at around 4.30pm on Saturday, September 24. Officers received a report of a 'large group of people' fighting in the area.
Ambulance crews attended and a 34-year-old man was rushed to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment. His condition is not yet known.
Pictures posted on social media showed several officers in attendance at the scene. Police say their enquiries into establishing the full circumstances of the incident are ongoing.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were made aware of a disturbance involving a large group of people fighting in the Closeburn Street area of Glasgow around 4.30pm on Saturday, September 24.
“A 34-year-old man has been taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
