A lorry worker has been rushed to hospital after becoming injured outside a museum in Glasgow.
A 999 response - including police, fire and five ambulances - were scrambled to the scene at Pointhouse Place, outside the Riverside Museum, at 8.54am today.
Medics attended and rushed the man to nearby Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, where it is understood he is in a serious condition.
The Daily Record understands the man was involved in a collision with a lorry at the site.
Three fire engines and police currently remain at the scene.
It is understood that a number of trucks were at the museum this morning, dismantling the structures from last weekend's Riverside Festival.
Images show officers carrying out ongoing enquiries, while a commercial cordon surrounds a lorry holding a crane.
Meanwhile, shortly after the incident, management at Riverside Museum confirmed that the venue would be closed for the day.
A statement reads: "Due to unforeseen circumstances, Riverside will not be open today.
"We're sorry for any disappointment this causes and will update on reopening as soon as we are able to."
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers were called to reports of a lorry worker becoming injured on Pointhouse Place, Glasgow at around 9.35am on Monday, June 6.
“Emergency services attended and the worker was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital."
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson added: "We were called at 8.54am on Monday, June 6 to assist at an incident at Pointhouse Place, Glasgow. "
Operations Control mobilised three appliances to the scene, where crews remain in attendance alongside emergency service partners."
A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We dispatched five resources to the scene and transported one patient to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.”
A spokesperson for Glasgow Life said: "We can confirm that Riverside will remain closed today."
