CCTV images have been released after a man was punched in the face after a cashpoint robbery in Liverpool city centre.
Merseyside Police said that at around 10.30am on September 11, a man in his 50s was using the cash machine to withdraw money outside Sainsbury's near St John's Shopping Centre. An unknown man then snatched the cash from the machine and walked away with another man.
When the victim attempted to follow the men and ask for his money back he was punched in the face, and needed to be taken to hospital with an injury to his nose. The force is now appealing to anyone who may recognise the man in the images, who they believe may have information on the incident.
