A man rescued by fishermen after being found clinging to a buoy in the English Channel wearing only a pair of swimming shorts had been trying to kayak to Spain, according to his rescuers.
The mystery swimmer, a British national aged 28, was found on Thursday shivering out at sea with no food, water or any protection from the elements.
He had survived by eating seaweed and drinking rainwater after he capsized, Mirror.co.uk reports.
