A man has been reported to the Procurator Fiscal after a West Lothian crash put another man in hospital.
We told how emergency services scrambled to the M8 westbound at Bathgate at around 3.55pm on Monday, March 14.
Cops were alerted to a two-car smash on the busy motorway.
Motorists were warned of rush-hour delays as the collision shut down one lane.
One man was rushed Wishaw General Hospital following the incident.
Police soon launched a probe into the smash and confirmed on Wednesday that a 30-year-old man had been reported to the Procurator Fiscal in connection with road traffic offences.
Officers did not disclose the nature of the other man's injuries nor his age or current medical condition.
It is not known if he was a driver, passenger or pedestrian.
The type of motors involved were also not confirmed.
A Police Scotland spokesman told the Record: "At around 3.55pm on Monday, March 14 police were called to the M8 westbound at junction three, Bathgate, following a report of a two-vehicle crash.
"One man was taken to Wishaw General Hospital for treatment.
"Following enquiries, we can confirm that a man, aged 30, will be reported to the Procurator Fiscal in connection with road traffic offences."
