Man Previously Detained in Nancy Guthrie Abduction Case Arrested on Crack Cocaine Charges

Renowned forensic psychologist Dr Kris Mohandie, who helped persuade O.J. Simpson to surrender to authorities, said he believes Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance may have resulted from a burglary that went wrong (Credit: Facebook/Nancy Guthrie)

A man previously detained during the Nancy Guthrie investigation was arrested on unrelated weapons and drug charges in Arizona on 30 September, according to court records. The 37-year-old was taken into custody months after authorities questioned him in February about the disappearance of the 84-year-old Tucson-area resident.

The arrest is separate from the investigation into what authorities have described as Guthrie's abduction, and the charges do not establish any connection between the man and her disappearance. Guthrie, the mother of NBC's 'Today' co-host Savannah Guthrie, was reported missing in February after disappearing from her home in the Catalina Foothills area.
