Man pleads not guilty to murder of 'much loved' gran found dead in Newport

A man has pleaded not guilty to the murder of a "much loved" grandmother. Kelly Pitt, 44, was pronounced dead after being found unresponsive at a property in Newport.

Gwent Police were called to an address in Sandalwood Court at around 11.30pm on Friday, May 12. Ms Pitt was found unconscious and was found to have died.

Lewis Bush, 25, was arrested and detained in police custody before being charged with Ms Pitt's murder. He appeared at Newport Crown Court on Friday where he entered a not guilty plea to the charge, appearing via video link from prison.
