A Five Guys worker is sharing a wild experience involving a customer who completely misunderstood the definition of a plain burger. The situation unfolded recently and has since gained massive attention on Reddit, racking up over 22,000 upvotes and nearly 3,700 comments on the r/mildlyinfuriating subreddit.
The ordeal began when a customer walked up to the counter and requested a plain, regular cheeseburger. Following standard industry practices, the employee prepared the order as a burger with no toppings. To any reasonable person, this is the expected result of asking for something plain. However, the customer returned to the counter only minutes later, looking visibly annoyed while holding the burger. He told the employee, “You made my food wrong. There’s nothing on it.”
