A man holding a bucket of puppies offered them to strangers in the street.
Rescue Me Animal Sanctuary, based off Prescot Road in Melling, received a call on Monday, December 12, from dog wardens in Manchester after it was reported nine puppies were in the care of vets after a "terrible ordeal". It was reported a woman was walking through Manchester on Monday morning when she was approached by a man with two large husky dogs holding a bucket.
The man asked the woman if she would like to have one of the puppies, who are estimated to be one week old, as he could not afford to care for them. The woman took all of the puppies and went straight to a vet's in the city.
