A man has been banned from Liverpool city centre after being branded one of the "most prolific shoplifters".
Gary Blower has been handed a three-year criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) which bans him from entering parts of town. The 52-year-old was issued with the CBO after he was caught stealing from Go Outdoors on Ranelagh Street.
Officers say on February 22 he was spotted putting several t-shirts into a shopping bag and attempting to leave. When challenged by staff, he handed over two items before making off with the rest.

Blower, of no fixed address, was arrested and charged with theft. On Wednesday, April 5, he pleaded guilty at Liverpool Magistrates Court.
The CBO prohibits him from entering the area bounded by and including Dale Street, Water Street, The Strand, Strand Street, Upper Duke Street, Hope Street, Mount Pleasant, Clarence Street, Russell Street, Seymour Street, London Road and Lime Street.
Community policing sergeant Charles Cottier said: "Blower was without fear of contradiction one of the most prolific shoplifters in Liverpool City Centre. He was caught with five items worth more than £120 stolen from a shop.
"Thefts from businesses is not a victimless crime as the cost incurred is passed on to the consumer. This order will provide welcome relief for all and should he breach this order he will be arrested and possibly imprisoned
"Anyone with information on vehicle crime can to speak to local officers or you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111. Always call 999 if a crime is in progress."
