Man murders wife & sister-in-law in Bhubaneswar, hid bodies for 3 days

BHUBANESWAR: A man was arrested here on Sunday for allegedly hacking his wife and sister-in-law to death over a family feud. The accused, Rabi Sethi, an electrician, had hidden the bodies under a bed at home for three days after the alleged murder.

Police said 40-year-old Rabi attacked his wife, Gayatri (33), and sister-in-law, Saraswati (31), with an axe following an altercation with them on Thursday evening. He reportedly gagged them to muffle their screams and fled the house after committing the alleged murders. The family members of the deceased were unaware of the twin murders until they caught hold of Rabi near his home on Saturday night. “We were very worried as we could not contact our daughters since Thursday evening. Saraswati worked as a nurse in a private hospital here and often stayed back with her elder sister. While their phones remained switched off, Rabi’s phone was unreachable,” Sudan Sethi, the victims’ father, said.
