We are a proud nation of tea lovers, and of this we make no secret.
You barely have to utter the word "hello" upon entering any house, before you'll find a mug of tea thrust into your hands.
And we like to bring out tea at just about every celebration.
Some might even go so far as to call us tea fanatics, as many of us enjoy quite the obsession.
This is a truth a student moving to the UK found out very quickly after he took to the internet to ask for advice.
As in place of the varied recommendations he had hoped for, his post was flooded with hundreds of comments about the best brands of tea.

The hilarious exchange came about after the student posted to Reddit's Casual UK forum hoping to learn what to expect before an upcoming move from Taipei to York for university.
He wrote: "I’m moving to the UK in 50 days exact. I’ve never been there. Is there something important I need to know? Anything is welcome, like which brand of tea should I drink or sth."
And he may well have regretted mentioning tea, as the comments quickly became overwhelmed with tea-based responses.
There was one brand in particular that received lots of love.
One person said: "Yorkshire tea is best. Hands down." A second told the student to try "Yorkshire tea with milk." And another wrote: "Give me Yorkshire Tea, or give me death!"
Eventually, the student was prompted to write: "Guys I know about the Yorkshire tea now thank you - There’s like 200 comments on it."
He also thanked everyone for their advice, which included everything from chocolate recommendations to queueing tips.
One popular comment said: "If someone greets you with an "alright?" they absolutely do not want to hear anything in response other than either an affirmative or an "alright" back. On no uncertain terms do they want to hear about how you actually are."
A second person advised: "Moaning is the unofficial national sport. But do it with humour. And sarcasm."
And a third added: "Please remember that at least 28% of all small talk must be about the weather."
Although a different commenter replied: "That sounds a bit low."
