Man 'losing sleep' over awkward Uber Eats mix-up as driver thought he was yelling at him

Have you been involved in an incredibly embarrassing ordeal that you're unable to stop replaying it in your mind for days after.

One man claims to have experienced just this recently and claims he's been left "losing sleep" over a mortifying mistake with an Uber Eats driver - who has been described as "innocent" and "sweet".

Mark Polchleb took to TikTok to share what had occured in a now-viral video - which has caused major heartache amongst viewers.

The clip filmed on a doorbell camera shows an Uber Eats driver on his porch, dropping off some food. Mark's dogs begin barking loudly and Mark can be heard shouting at his pets to get away from the door.

However, the poor deliver driver thought he was being shouted at.

In fact, the shouting was intended for the one being shouted out and not the homeowner's "menace" dog.

"Should I leave at the door?" The driver asks in the clip.

Despite receiving no answer over the abundance of dog barks, they placed the delivery bag on the doorstep - and said, "Ok, thank you."

"Get away from the door mate!" The TikToker shouted.

The Uber Eats driver mistakenly mistook the home owner's shouting - and thought it was directed at himself - despite Mark directing the comment to his dog.

"A second please!" The driver pleaded.

He took a step back and snapped a quick photograph of the delivery at Mark's door.

"Thank you very much," he said.

Without realising his mistake, Mark thanked the driver - and told him to have a "good night" - before stepping back indoors.

"I'm genuinely losing sleep over this. He was so sweet and my dog is a menace," he captioned the post beside a tearful emoji.

The video has quickly surpassed eight million views to date within 24 hours of posting.

"Can someone please tell this sweet sweet Uber Eats man I was yelling at my dog and not him," Mark added.

The mishap has led several viewers describing their upset - with many revealing that they were mortified over the ordeal.

"WHY WOULD YOU PUT THIS BURDEN ON ME," one user fumed.

"I WOULD LOSE SLEEP FOR DAYSSSSSS," a second penned.

"The bags under me eyes are living proof. I’m on night two. Help," Mark replied.

In a shocking turn of events - and much to the relief of viewers - Mark revealed that due to the power of TikTok, the driver has been found.

"UPDATE: Sami has been found!" He assured viewers.

"More to come!" He added beside a red heart emoji.
