Man knocked unconscious and taken to hospital after gang attack in Bristol

A man was knocked unconscious as part of a brutal assault carried out by a gang in Bristol.

The attack in the Queens Road/Queens Avenue area of Bristol happened between 3am and 3.35am on Sunday, January 30 outside Cafe Nero.

The male victim, in his 30s, temporarily lost consciousness after being assaulted by four unknown males.

He suffered significant facial injuries and required hospital treatment as a result of the assault.

Another man, who tried to help the victim, was also assaulted and suffered minor injuries.

Avon and Somerset Police are now appealing for witnesses and are hoping someone may be able to provide a description of the offenders or any other information.
