A man was killed in a two-car crash this morning.
The collision happened at around 10am at the junction of Old Cratloe Road and in Co Limerick.
A male passenger in his late 40s was fatally injured and his body has been removed from the scene and taken to University Hospital Limerick, where a post mortem will take place in due course.
The male driver, in his mid 20s, of the same vehicle was taken to University Hospital Limerick to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The male driver, in his late 60s, of the second vehicle was uninjured.
The road remains closed for a Garda forensic team to carry out a technical examination of the scene. Local diversions are in place.
Gardai are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward. Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling on the Old Cratloe Road or Woodcockhill Road, Limerick between 9.30am and 10am are asked to make this footage available to them.
