A man jumped over the dock in court and assaulted security staff after being handed a jail sentence.
George Henry McDonald, 24, appeared at the court on February 16, where he was given a 16-month prison sentence for assault occasioning actual bodily harm and common assault.
However, after the sentence was passed at Newcastle Crown Court, McDonald leapt over the dock and ran from the courtroom, Chronicle Live reports.
