Man injured after off-road bike crashes into police car in Salford

A man was left injured after an off-road bike crashed into a stationary police car in Salford on Sunday afternoon (June 18).

Police cordoned off Auckland Drive at around 2.17pm following the collision, in which the driver, a man aged 35, sustained non-serious injuries.

Pictures from the scene show a number of police vehicles in attendance as the road was taped off. Paramedics from the North West Ambulance Service also treated the rider.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: "At around 2.17pm yesterday (Sunday 18 June 2023) on Auckland Drive in Salford, an off-road bike made contact with a stationary police vehicle.

"Colleagues from the North West Ambulance Service attended and administered treatment to the 35-year-old male rider, who sustained a non-serious injury."
