A man was taken to hospital following an incident at a paintball centre near Knowsley Safari Park.
Eyewitnesses said they saw an air ambulance land in the car park of Knowsley Safari Park on Sunday, April 16 at around 12.30pm. A video shared with the ECHO shows a stationary air ambulance helicopter, with two fast response ambulance vehicles driving along a road believed to be within the Knowsley Estate.
Photos taken by the ECHO showed the air ambulance in flight leaving the area at around 2.30pm. North West Ambulance Service confirmed today they received a call at 12.35pm on Sunday to reports a man needed medical assistance at the Delta Force Paintball, which is within the Knowsley Estate.

A spokesperson for Knowsley Safari Park also confirmed today that they assisted emergency services by allowing them them to use part of the main car park to access the neighbouring business. An ambulance crew, air ambulance, advanced paramedic, additional response vehicle and hazardous area team were called to the scene. The man was taken to hospital by road ambulance.
It is unclear why the man needed medical assistance and his current condition.
A spokesperson for North West Ambulance Service said: "We were called to a patient who required medical assistance at Delta Force Paintball, Knowsley Safari Park, following a call at 12.35. The incident was attended by an ambulance crew, air ambulance, advanced paramedic, additional response vehicle and our Hazardous Area response team.
"A male patient was taken to the hospital by road."
