Man in his 50s found hanged in west London park sparking police probe

Police are appealing for information after a man in his 50s was found hanged in the west London suburb of Hillingdon.

Emergency services were called to the scene in Iron Bridge Road, West Drayton, shortly before 7am on Friday.

The man is understood to have been found hanged in a park.

A Scotland Yard spokesperson said: “Police and London Ambulance Service along with London Fire Brigade attended and located a man in his 50s who was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

“Enquiries are ongoing to inform his next of kin.”

Police are currently treating the man’s death as “unexplained”, and are urging anyone with information to get in touch.

Iron Bridge Road was closed in both directions while the incident was dealt with, but later reopened.
