Man in his 40s dies at Glastonbury Festival after 'medical incident'

A man attending Glastonbury Festival has died at the site, police said. The man, aged in his 40s, suffered a “medical incident”.

It took place around 4am on Sunday (June 25). The incident happened on a footpath known as the old railway line.

Emergency services attended, reports PA, but he died at the scene. His family is being supported by police, who say that there is nothing suspicious about the death.

Avon and Somerset Police said in a statement: “Shortly before 4am today emergency services responded to a medical incident involving a man in his 40s at Glastonbury Festival. The incident happened on a footpath known as the old railway line.

“Sadly, the man died at the scene. His next of kin have been informed and our thoughts are with them at this difficult time. The man’s death is not being treated as suspicious and officers are carrying out inquiries on behalf of the coroner.”
