He was taken to hospital for treatment, where he remains. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening or life changing.

A crime scene remains in place.

Green councillor for Stratford Olympic Park, Nate Higgins, wrote on X: “I have been in touch with people at the council and what I can confirm at the moment is that police attended an incident this evening at Elis Way after multiple 999 calls about an assault to find a male victim with multiple injuries to the body and a head injury.

“He has been taken to hospital and injuries have not yet been classified as life changing or non life changing, but he is alive. He remains in the care of the police as well. A crime scene has been established to investigate. I have no details about the attacker at this time.”
