A man has died after a crash on the M62.
Emergency services rushed to the scene of an incident, at junction 6, Huyton, on the motorway, at around 7.50pm on Sunday, July 17. At the scene, they found a black Mercedes had crashed.
Paramedics, including air ambulance, attended the scene but the driver, a man in his 30s, died. His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist Family Liaison Officers, at Merseyside police.

Sergeant Steve Smith, from Merseyside Police Serious Collison Investigation Unit, said: "An investigation is ongoing after a man sadly died following a collision on the M62 last night, and our thoughts and condolences are very much with the family. The next of kin of the driver has been informed and is being supported by specialist Family Liaison Officers.
"We would ask any drivers in the area who witnessed the collision, or who may have dashcam footage of the incident, to come forward. Any footage, or information, could be vital in establishing what happened. Anyone who witnessed the collision or captured anything on CCTV or dashcam is asked to contact SCIU on (0151) 777 5747, or email SCIU@merseyside.police.uk with Log 887 of Sunday 17 July."
