The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office has identified the man who allegedly broke into Donald Trump’s Virginia campaign office as Toby Shane Kessler, according to a news release from the sheriff’s office. Kessler, 39, spent a brief period of time in the office and did not leave anything behind when he left. It is still unclear if he took anything with him.
Investigators revealed that Kessler has a history of criminal behavior and no fixed address. He holds a California driver’s license and has been in the Washington metropolitan area since at least 2018.
The sheriff’s office is collaborating with other law enforcement agencies to locate Kessler, who was captured on surveillance video inside the campaign office wearing dark clothing, a dark cap, and a backpack. The incident was reported as a burglary at the office, which is leased by the Trump campaign and serves as the headquarters of the Virginia 10th District Republican Committee.
