A man sustained serious facial injuries in an alleged stabbing incident in Kildare on Wednesday evening.
The victim was hospitalised after the assault which occurred in a busy area of Naas, Co Kildare.
It happened just after 7.30pm last night at a bus stop near the post office in the town centre.

According to local reports the man was left with a serious wound to the face.
Gardai confirmed that the man was taken to hospital for his injuries but that they are not life threatening. No arrests have been made and the investigation continues into the incident.
A garda spokeswoman said last night: "Gardaí are investigating an alleged assault that occurred in Naas, Co. Kildare this evening, 5 October 2022 at approximately 7.40pm. A male was taken to Naas General Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Investigations are ongoing."
