Footage from Manchester Airport shows passengers wedged together inside a departures gate with "no ventilation".
Ryanair holidaymakers travelling from the airport's Terminal Three on April 12 were reportedly left standing for an hour and a half after four flights scheduled to leave the same gate were delayed. One man said he'd never seen anything like it as people called out for assistance, saying they weren't feeling well.
He said the departure gate had no ventilation and despite Ryanair operating a mask-only flight policy passengers were left queueing in the waiting area with "zero" covid precautions. Holidaymakers have reported further chaos at the airport with huge delays, baggage issues and long queues due to staff shortages.
