Man found dead on Scots street after police called to reports of 'unconscious' person

A man has been found dead on a Scots street after police were called to reports of an 'unconscious' person in the early hours of this morning.

Officers rushed to Main Street, Blantyre at around 4.55am but the 43-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene, report Glasgow Live.

Police say there do not appear to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.

A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal in due course.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “Officers received a report of an unconscious person near Main Street, Blantyre around 4.55am on Tuesday, 14 June, 2022.

"A 43-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.

“There do not appear to be any suspicious circumstances and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
