Man flashes woman on train, held in Mumbai

MUMBAI: The Kurla GRP has arrested a 28-year-old man for flashing a woman commuter while she was travelling in a Central Railway local train with her family recently. The 31-year-old complainant, who is an HR consultant, had gone to Dadar with her brother, husband and their daughter on August 7 for an event.

Heading back home, the family boarded the 6.32pm Kalyan local from platform No. 1 at Dadar. While the general compartment was crowded, the woman's husband and daughter found a seat while she and her brother stood close to them.

When the train was at Kanjurmarg, a co-traveller pointed out to the woman that a man standing behind her was flashing. She slapped the accused, A Ansari, who was also thrashed by her husband, brother and other passengers. Ansari, who is a Byculla resident and does odd jobs for a living, was taken off the train at Thane. He has been booked under IPC for molestation.
