Man finds centuries-old 40ft well leading to ancient treasures while renovating shop

A man renovating an old property in Liverpool has recalled how he made "one of the greatest finds" ever in the city - and says he originally thought was a rat hole!

Businessman Jeff Pearce started renovating fashion store Jeffs on Bold Street when he stumbled upon something nobody expected.

He purchased the shop more than 20 years ago and decided the building needed a big uplift, the LiverpoolEcho report.
