A man is fighting for his life after a white Porsche crashed into a bridge.
The man, 50, was taken to Aintree Hospital yesterday, Monday, with serious and life-threatening injuries after the car he was driving crashed into a bridge on a slip road on the A55. Emergency services were called to the scene just after 4pm.
The slip road was closed off and motorists were urged to avoid the area. As of this morning, Tuesday, the slip road, near Chester, remained closed.

Police are now appealing for any witnesses to come forward, particularly if they have captured dashcam footage of the event, reports Cheshire Live.
A spokesperson for Cheshire Constabulary said: "Officers are appealing for information and dashcam footage following a serious collision in Chester.
"At 4.08pm on Monday 16 January, officers were called to the A55 North Wales Expressway southbound slip road at junction 39 following reports that a white Porsche had collided with a bridge.
"The driver of the car, a 50-year-old man, was taken to Aintree Hospital with serious, life-threatening injuries.
"Police are now appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision or may have captured dashcam or CCTV footage to come forward."
