A man is fighting for his life after being hit by a car in Kerry.
The collision, involving a pedestrian and a car, happened at Spunkane in Waterville before 8pm on Sunday.
The pedestrian, a man aged in his 50s, was taken to Cork University Hospital where he remains in a critical condition.

Gardai have closed the road for a technical examination of the scene with local diversions in place.
An appeal has been launched for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward.
A Garda spokesperson said on Monday morning: “Gardai are appealing for witnesses following a serious injury road traffic collision which occurred on Sunday evening, 12th March 2023 at Spunkane in Waterville, Co.Kerry.
“Gardai and emergency services attended the scene of a collision between a car and a pedestrian shortly before 8pm. The pedestrian, a male in his 50s, was taken by ambulance to Cork University Hospital. He is currently in a critical condition.
“The road remains closed this morning with local diversions in place. A technical examination of the scene will take place.
“Gardai are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward. They are particularly appealing to those with camera footage (including dash-cam) from the area at the time to make it available to them.”
