Man felt 'physically sick' after 'haunted' dead lobster moved as he ate it

A man claims a dead lobster he ate for a Facebook challenge was 'haunted' after the video caught it 'moving'.

Adian Shann, 32, said he felt 'physically sick' after recording himself devouring the crustacean, bought for £13, for a Facebook Live.

According to Hull Live, he filmed the meal after seeing a challenge online where people eat lobsters and crabs.

In the clip, the Hull hairdresser tries to crack the creature's shell to reach the white meat when it allegedly 'twitched and moved' on his plate.

Adrian now believes the dead lobster was 'possessed' and haunting him.

He said: "I've never had lobster before and I was curious to try it.

"I boiled it for around 20 minutes and then went on Facebook Live. I didn't notice until I watched the video back that it was moving.

"I started to feel very paranoid and didn't realise it was moving. I asked myself, is there something wrong with it?

"Do lobsters even die when they are boiled? I thought it was horrible when I'd gone to grab a knife and then I saw it staring at me."

Adrian claims that the lobster was already broken and cooked when he bought it from the shop.

He is still left puzzled and believes it will haunt him.

The video does show the lobster moving after brief contact with his hand as well as the lobster claw during eating, but Adrian claims he never touched it.

He said: "I'd never eaten lobster before and will certainly not be eating it again. It did look nice at the time though.

"But when I cooked it, it smelt sappy and it even had red eggs inside it.

"I would never have it again.

"I feel something must have been wrong with it."

Adrian says he felt 'sick' after watching the video back.

He said: "I felt that this lobster was part of a ritual and I was possessed by it.

"I now just feel physically sick. If you get boiled, surely you would die.

"My friends and family say it's just strange. It's worse for me because I ate it.

"I just hope people could have tried it as well so they could understand what I meant.

"I'm a hairdresser, not Derek Acorah."

Some fish and molluscs are said to move even after death, appearing to be 'alive'.

Dead fish will continue to move around until they use up all their energy stores. They are not alive at this stage or in any pain.

Other incidents of dead fish moving have been caught on camera.

No fish or crustacean will move after being cooked.
