A major search is underway to trace a man who fell into the water at a beauty spot on the Isle of Skye.
The alarm was raised at the Fairy Pools near the Carbost area of the island 3pm on Thursday, May 18.
A multi-agency response, including a HM Coastguard helicopter, teams from Mountain Rescue, ambulance crews and police search units, have been drafted to the scene.
Officers say the search remains ongoing.
The area remains shut down as emergency crews deal with the ongoing incident.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 3pm on Thursday, 18 May, we received a report of a man falling into the water at the Fairy Pools near Carbost, on Skye.
“Emergency services are in attendance and searches are ongoing to trace him.
“There is currently no public access to the area.”
A HM Coastguard spokesperson said: "Coastguard teams helped yesterday in the search for a man reported to have fallen into river rapids on the Isle of Skye.
"The alarm was raised at about 3pm to an incident near the Fairy Pools car park, Glen Brittle.
"The Coastguard search and rescue helicopter from Stornaway was sent, along with Coastguard Rescue Teams from Portree, Dunvegan, Duntulm and Kyke.
"The operation also involved Police Scotland, the Scottish Ambulance Service's air ambulance and the Skye Mountain Rescue Team."
