Man falls from building in Bootle as police cordon off scene

A man has been rushed to hospital after falling from a building in Bootle.

Emergency services were called to near Bootle Strand, on Stanley Road, to reports of concern for the safety of a man. At the scene, near Vermont Street, by the bus station and car park, they found a man had fallen from a building.

Police and forensic officers remain at the scene while investigations are ongoing. A cordon is in place and spans from Vermont Way, Washington Parade and Delaware Road.

People are being asked to avoid the area and are being restricted access to the scene. However people are still able to use the bus station and exit the car park.

A spokesperson for Merseyside Police said: "We can confirm officers are currently in Bootle following a report of a concern for safety of a male. Emergency services attended the scene on Stanley Road at around 10am this morning (Tuesday 11 April).

"A male fell from a building and has been taken to hospital. Officers remain at the scene and our enquiries are ongoing."
