Man drives through carwash without emptying truck bed, his simple mistake would end up costing him a fortune

A man on TikTok is having one of the worst days after an innocent mistake on his part ended up causing thousands of dollars in damage to the car wash he was going through.

You’re probably wondering how someone could possibly cause so much damage just by driving through a car wash but once you see the video it’s pretty self explanatory. TikToker @kyle.corbett5 recorded the aftermath of the damage his mistake had done, pointing his camera at a spool of high tensile wire in the bed of the truck. Panning up he shows wire tangled in the spinning brushes. Meters and meters of the wire is firmly wrapped around the brushes in a way that seems impossible to untangle.

Lesson today is don’t go in the car wash with high tensile wire in the bed of your truck.

The caption in the video reads “Yeah this is bad!” which might be the understatement of the century. It ain’t a pretty sight and it’s all because he left the spool exposed in the back of his truck. Of course, in Kyle’s defense, it’s easy to leave something like that in the back of your truck without thinking. Regardless, it’s going to be a headache for the car wash owner.

That’s gonna cost a pretty penny

Unfortunately the mistake was undeniably his and commenters on TikTok didn’t sugarcoat it when it came to talking about how much his error would likely end up costing him. “Well…you’re 100% liable for damages,” pointed out one commenter, “that $15 wash just costed y’all 150k. God speed,” added another.

It also looks like another car that came in behind Kyle might have been damaged by the wire too as the brushes look to have already started brushing the vehicle before it was shut down. One commenter joked “that white car had a real life Final Destination moment.”

But not everyone agreed that Kyle was at fault or liable in any way for the damages. Some believed that it was the responsibility of the car wash workers to spot the wire in the bed of the truck and stop it going through before it ever got to the brushes. “The car wash attendant should have seen that,” reads one comment under the video.

If that’s the case then Kyle might be the one receiving a big pay out from the car wash rather than him having to be the one to cough up the funds. Another commenter jokingly asked, “u gonna rename the car wash or staying with the same name?”

We’ll probably have to wait until Kyle returns with an update on the situation to find out who exactly ended up being found liable for the incident but one thing’s for certain, the white car behind Kyle definitely has a strong case for compensation.
