A man has died suddenly at a home in Renfrew.
The alarm was raised shortly before 11am on Sunday January 22 when officers were alerted to a 53-year-old man, who has not yet been named, having passed away at an address on Paisley Road.
There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the man's death at this time, police have confirmed, but officers are investigating to establish exactly what happened.
A photo of the scene shows a tent erected at the entrance of the property, blocking it off from view to motorists and passers-by.
A cordon has also been constructed around affected the area stretching from the bus stop to nearby shops while two uniformed cops stand guard.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We received a report of the sudden death of a 53-year-old man on Paisley Road, Renfrew around 10.55am on Sunday, 22 January, 2023.
“The death is currently being treated as unexplained but non-suspicious. A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.”
