Man dies in Scots Tesco store after taking unwell

A man has tragically died after falling unwell at a Tesco store in Fife.

Emergency services were called to the scene near the Tesco Express store on Nicol Street in Kirkcaldy at around 11am on Saturday, February 26.

Despite the best efforts of paramedics, the 58-year-old was sadly pronounced dead a short time later.

The local area was cordoned off for a short time while police officers carried out enquiries.

However, Police Scotland have since confirmed that there are no suspicious circumstances and that a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

A force spokesperson said: "Officers were called to Nicol Street, Kirkcaldy around 11.00am on February 26 to a report a man had taken unwell.

“A 58-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.

“There are no suspicious circumstances and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.”
