Man Dies From Electrocution In Mexican Jacuzzi Incident

An ambulance leaves the F.D. Roosevelt University Hospital, where Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico is hospitalised

An unfortunate incident occurred at a private resort in Puerto Peñasco, Mexico, where a man from El Paso, Texas, lost his life due to electrocution while vacationing. The incident took place in a jacuzzi at the Sonoran Sea Resort late in the evening.

According to reports from the Mexican State of Sonora General Prosecutor’s Office, the victim, identified as a 43-year-old man named Jorge N., was in the jacuzzi with another individual named Lizeth N. when the tragic event unfolded. It is believed that a possible wiring failure led to the electrocution of Jorge, while Lizeth sustained severe injuries.

Lizeth was promptly rushed to a nearby hospital, where medical professionals confirmed that her injuries were consistent with electric shock. Subsequently, she was transferred back to the United States for further treatment and was listed in critical condition.

During the investigation conducted by the authorities, a witness who was acquainted with Jorge and Lizeth revealed that she noticed the pair motionless in the jacuzzi. Upon attempting to assist them, the witness also experienced an electric shock, prompting her to seek help immediately.

The Attorney General’s Office of the State of Sonora has initiated a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding this tragic incident to determine the exact cause of the electrocution. Our thoughts are with the families and loved ones of the victims during this difficult time.
