Police have appealed for witnesses to come forward after a man sadly died following a crash in Northumberland.
Emergency services attended the scene on the B6341 in Alnwick following reports that a man on a motorbike had been involved in a traffic collision. Despite the best efforts of paramedics, the man passed away at the scene.
His family have been informed, police said, and are being supported by specially trained officers following the devastating news. A section of the road is currently closed to traffic as investigations take place into the crash.

Northumbria Police has asked anyone who witnessed the incident to to get in touch with them. The incident occurred shortly before 2pm on Friday, March 17.
