A man competing in a regatta has died after falling from a yacht off Port Lincoln, on South Australia's Eyre Peninsula.
The man was injured during the event and plunged into the water while competing on the first day of the Lincoln Week Regatta, organised by the Port Lincoln Yacht Club.
Regatta chairman Steve Kemp said the man's fall triggered a rapid response from the yacht crew and race management to recover him as quickly as possible.
